What’s a typical Sunday service like?
We invite you to enjoy coffee and baked goodies from our welcome table in the foyer before heading into the sanctuary for service at 10:30AM. Our time together includes worship through music and through the teaching of God’s Word to encourage and challenge our hearts in matters of real life. We finish at 11:45AM and welcome you to stay for conversation and fellowship in the foyer afterwards.
What should I wear?
We have a blend of styles in our church family. Some prefer to wear jeans and others dress slacks. Some wear a tie and others a T-shirt. Come as you are!
Can I bring my kids?
Please do! Children are welcome to stay with their family during the whole service or join children’s church after our time of singing and announcements. We also have a nursery for our tiniest guests. Click HERE for more about CrossLife Children’s Ministry.
What about Sunday School or small groups?
Our church meets together several times a month for various activities from game nights to men’s and women’s events that allow us to build deeper relationships with one another. Youth Group meets once a month as we continue growing, and we also gather for brunch at 9:00AM on the second Sunday of each month and supper from 6-7:30PM on the fourth Wednesday of each month for fellowship and bible study. You can find more information under the “Ministries” tab or by clicking HERE and selecting from the menu!
How big is your church?
CrossLife began in the Fall of 2017 as a new church plant in Columbia City. We’re a small church family with plenty of room to grow! Our building includes the sanctuary (pictured on our main page HERE), gymnasium, and classroom wing where the nursery and children’s church areas are located.
Are you affiliated with a specific denomination?
Yes, CrossLife is part of the United Brethren in Christ denomination which began 250 years ago when two men, Martin Boehm and William Otterbein found a common connection in Christ that bridged the very different backgrounds they came from. Unity amidst diversity made possible by the cross is a central focus of the United Brethren denomination. The formal confession of faith can be found on their website by clicking HERE, and a brief history can be found by clicking HERE.
I still have some questions. Who can I contact?
